The Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014

According to The Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014, made during the Congress government, a survey of all street vendors is necessary, it is mandatory to give them a certificate of vending, this vending certificate must be renewed at a fixed time, they can appeal to the local authority against any decision of the Town Vending Committee, in case of relocation, it will be their right to get a new place, in case of relocation, it will be their right to get a notice of at least 30 days. Street vendors should be able to sell their goods comfortably, they should be given identity cards, if the goods of the vendors are confiscated due to violation of any rule, then they will have full right to get their goods back, it will be mandatory to form committees to solve the problems of street vendors, this law also says that despite any law made in the past, any license holder street vendor will not be harassed by the police or any other department, the government will also do research, training, awareness related work for the upliftment of street vendors.
