Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress (KKC) was founded in 2017 by the then National Vice President of Congress, Shri Rahul Gandhi and Shri Arvind Singh was made the Chairman of this department. At that time its name was All India Unorganised Workers Congress. In its initial four years, this department worked for the interests of unorganised workers. On November 14, 2021, the top leadership of the Indian National Congress changed its name to 'Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress (Other than Professionals)' and Dr. Udit Raj (Ex. MP) was made its National Chairman. Since then, this department became fully active and this department got recognition all over the country. In common parlance, it is now known as 'Kamgar & Karmchari Congress (KKC).
Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress (KKC) is working for the upliftment of that class which is about 93 percent of the total workers and employees of our country. According to the data, their population in the country is considered to be around 45 crores. There is neither any concrete economic or social plan for the upliftment of these people nor are they aware enough to go to any court to get justice in any kind of employment related dispute. Even the legal provisions made for this class are not enough. Till now whatever provisions were made for this class were made by the Congress governments only. Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress (KKC) is fully committed to the upliftment of this class and is constantly struggling to get the rightful rights of even the last person in the line. Our aim is to ensure complete justice to every unorganized worker and employee of the country.
