Shramik Sampark Abhiyan

18 Jul, 2025

On July 18, 2025, under the leadership of the West Bengal Pradesh Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress, a significant initiative — Shramik Sampark Abhiyan — is actively underway in Suri, Birbhum District, West Bengal. As part of this campaign, a comprehensive survey is being conducted among workers in the informal sector to assess their current conditions, challenges, and access to government welfare schemes.

The primary objective of this campaign is to connect with the unorganised workforce, understand their issues at the grassroots level, raise awareness about their rights, and strengthen their voice through collective organisation under the Congress banner.

This ongoing outreach reflects the deep commitment of the Congress party toward the welfare and empowerment of workers in the informal sector, who form the backbone of India's economy. Local workers and regional leaders are participating with full dedication, ensuring that every voice is heard and represented.

The Shramik Sampark Abhiyan is not merely a data-gathering exercise—it is a powerful movement aimed at social justice, grassroots mobilisation, and organisational strengthening. It stands as a strong testament to the Congress party’s resolve to uplift and support the labour force across the nation, beginning at the very foundations of society.
