two employees of Howrah Municipal Corporation, Shri Umesh Mahato and Noor Mohammad, who were on duty, tragically died when a eucalyptus tree fell on them in front of the chairman's office.
The responsibility for this tragic death lies entirely with the Howrah Municipal Corporation authorities. Because the fact is that, this tree fell on them without any storm or flood disaster why proves the inefficiency of the corporation.
Today, the Pradesh KKC, West Bengal demanded to the Chairman and Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, 1) a one-time compensation of Rs 20 lakh to each families of the deceased employees, 2) a job for one member from each family, 3) immediate payment of all statutory dues, 4) payment of all expenses up to cremation and burial and 5) to take appropriate measures to ensure that such incidents do not happen again in future.
It was announced that the biggest agitation will be launched if all the demands are not provided within the next one week.
